The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regulates community water supplies under the Florida Safe Drinking Water Act.

Our office issues well drilling permits for domestic use (drinking and irrigation) and monitoring use which are less than 6 inches in diameter. Anyone having a well installed should use a licensed well driller who has a well construction permit.
