The Orange County Health Department regulates commercial and community limited use water systems. We also regulate private, monitoring, and irrigation well construction.
The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regulates community water supplies under the Florida Safe Drinking Water Act.

We provide testing services for private wells for the following problems:

- EDB (pesticide residues)
- Petroleum
- Lead and Nitrates
Well Permitting | >Next
Our office issues well drilling permits for domestic use (drinking and irrigation) and monitoring use which are less than 6 inches in diameter. Anyone having a well installed should use a licensed well driller who has a well construction permit.
