The Department of Health (DOH) conducts basic safety and health inspections of Group Care Facilities under Chapter 64E-12 of the Florida Administrative Code (FAC).
Facilities include:
- Foster Homes
- Group Homes
- Schools
Foster Home Inspections are conducted once a year at the request of the licensing agency. Group Homes and Schools are inspected twice a year. In addition, the program regulates food service at all these facilities.
Complaints about food safety and environmental conditions are handled by the Orange County Health Department. Please provide details surrounding the complaint including: date(s) of the incident or observation, location or room within the facility where it occurred or was observed, address of the facility, and any other pertinent information related to the issue. For all other complaints, contact the regulating agency.
