WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support, and health care referrals.

If you live in Orange County, Florida you can call the local WIC office at to make an appointment. Otherwise call 1-800-342-3556 to find an office near you.

Eligibility | >Next
To be eligible you must:
- be pregnant
- be breastfeeding
- have recently given birth
- have an child under the age of 5
- have a low or moderate income
- have a special need that can be helped by WIC
- meet the income eligibility requirements
Your eligibility determination will be made during the application process. Please make sure that you bring all family members applying for benefits and all information required.

To qualify for WIC you will need the following medical information from your health care provider:
- A height and weight measurement
- A blood test for hemoglobin or hemocrit
If you don't have a health care provider the WIC office will let you know how you can get the health information needed.

The Florida WIC program is a public health nutrition program that promotes breastfeeding as the normal, optimal way of feeding and nurturing children. Breastfeeding classes are available for new mothers. Please call for more information.
Other classes available through the Healthy Start program include: Childbirth, Car Seat Safety, and Boot Camp for New Dads. Please call 407-254-6822 for more information.
